Climbin’ around at Three Pools.
Ben and I planned a road trip to visit our friends in Portland again, most especially because one of my best friends had had her baby, and we needed to meet lil’ Graham! We were only there for about 2.5 days (got there Friday night and left Monday morning).
I mostly just took pictures of our time at Three Pools and our friends’ church building to send to Textures of Mormonism, a brilliant account run by our good friends.
My only request was to return to Nong’s Khao Man Gai, so we went there Friday night when we got into town.

Truly one of my favorite meals.

Bb Graham!
Three Pools
The next day, we headed to Three Pools, which is about a two-hour drive from Portland. It was a beautiful and sunny day, and the dogs loved climbing and swimming around.

Teaching Scout to swim

V excited that the dogs crossed the bridge by themselves.

Tarzan

G loves me so much.
After we got back to Portland, we all got pizza at Life of Pie and met Evan and Kelsey there, who’d just gotten back from a trip to Europe. We were brought into the pizza rivalry between the Currys (who prefer Life of Pie) and the Rhotons/Garfields, (who prefer Apizza Scholls). We tried both, but Life of Pie was better imho.

Yummy kale and arugula salad
+ some dessert at Pie Spot.

Relief Society presidents—why did they stop adding them????
After church, we came home and hung out for a bit . . .
and made our way to some food trucks. On the way, we found the missing genetic piece to Scout and Blue’s ancestry. Or maybe it was their long-lost love child?

Fraternal triplets?
I got a falafel wrap at Wolf & Bear’s and lovvved it.
And then we headed to Salt & Straw (for the second time this weekend) for National Ice Cream Day—duh. Later, we got some Apizza Scholls to go and played Telestrations at Erin and Caden’s.
A special shout-out to the Currys for letting us sleep on their floor and for putting up with our bratty dog who thinks she’s superior to all other dogs.

“Playing” with Blue (AKA trying to control her).
It was a quick but fun trip spending time with people we love—hoping to make this trip to Portland an annual summer tradition!
